Richard's Alves
Richard East is the Chair of the board of Common Wheel and a bike enthusiast. In 2023 he bought this Alves and in 2024 I took pictures of it in the Vintage Vehicle Trust, where we have a bike workshop.
The bike is very original, and doesn't have the changes and upgrades that happen to bikes which are heavily used. Richard has more information that will be added below.

The tyres are Schwalbe Marathon Plus and obviously later. After 40 years most tyres are perished. The saddle is a Brooks. The brake levers are Campagnolo and the bar tape should really be replaced.
