Relic Claude Butler
This frame had been upstairs in the front Dark Recesses for several years when finally someone came in to buy it. It's fillet brazed, so probably made in the years after WW2 when lugs were hard to get. We used a modern Hollowtech chainset on it, which fits well with the smooth frame joins. It's a total anachronism of course.
Other features of note are the dual pivot sidepulls and top tub routing of the gear cable. We had to replace the fork as well, so the componentry is a mishmash of the past seventy years. It works and the customer is happy, so that's what matters.
