Glitter Bike number three
A customer wanted a general purpose bike that looked a bit special. We found a touring bike frame and applied glitter to it in a subtle way.
We put glitter on the head tube and a band on the seat tube. This was very common until about 1990, and is one of the best ways to paint a bike. The key thing with a band on the seat tube is getting it in the right place. If you put it in the middle it looks wrong. It should also be about the same length as the head tube. There's no doubt some mathematical way to work this out, but it's far quicker to get some thin card and mock it up until it looks right.
