Owls
For the 2025 fundraising evening Neil was asked to make something again. He made an Owl, which sold for £250 at auction. After this he was asked to make another. Owl 2 features a rotating head. made using the front part of a bike frame and a cut down stem. The head can be removed, there's no real need for this, it was just easier to build it this way.
Owl 1 has long legs as it was modeled after pictures of real owls, some of which have long legs. Owl 2 is more like the common representations of owls in art.
Only two owls ahve been sold against four herons. Either the scrap metal art market is getting saturated or herons are more popular birds.
